Garage Terms & Conditions
The terms on which independent garages and mechanics join RepairMyCar, receive bookings, and use our platform.
Last updated: June 2026 · Version 1.0
Key points for garages
- RepairMyCar is a booking platform. We connect you with drivers and handle the booking (and, for many jobs, payment). The work and your contract with the driver are yours.
- You are the supplier. You are solely responsible to drivers for your work, parts, workmanship and any guarantee you offer.
- Fixed prices are commitments. A fixed price you publish is a price you commit to for the work described. Quotes are estimates.
- How we get paid. A commission per booking (capped), plus any subscription you choose. We charge commission only once per driver, per garage.
- No going around the Platform. You must not take Platform-introduced bookings off-platform to avoid fees.
- You must hold valid insurance and the qualifications and licences needed for the work you offer.

1.Information about us
The Platform at www.repairmycar.io is operated by RepairMyCar Ltd ("RepairMyCar", "we"), registered in England and Wales under company number 14872031, registered office 12 Buckingham Gate, London SW1E 6LB. These terms apply to any business operating as a garage on the Platform.
2.These terms and our policies
In addition to these Garage Terms, our Privacy Policy and any acceptable use or quality standards we publish for Garages apply. If there is a conflict, these Garage Terms take precedence to the extent of the conflict.
3.Registering as a garage
To register you will be asked for information about your business, including trading details, proof of address, VAT number (if registered), valid insurance documents (including public liability cover) and any other documentation we reasonably require.
You must keep information accurate and up to date. We may verify it and may reject or remove a registration where identity, insurance or qualifications cannot be confirmed.
4.Your right to use the Platform
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the Platform and dashboard for your internal business purposes. You must not copy, reverse-engineer or resell it. Your listing must not contain direct contact details for drivers to bypass the Platform.
5.How bookings work - fixed prices and quotes
5.1 Fixed-price bookings
A fixed price is a genuine price commitment for the work described. You must honour fixed-price bookings you make available.
5.2 Quote-based bookings
Quotes are indicative estimates. You must make sure all quotes are accurate, comprehensive and not misleading. Quotes generated on your behalf from your pricing data remain your responsibility.
5.3 Additional work
You must not carry out any additional work without the driver's prior authorisation, and you must agree the price of any additional work with the driver before doing it.
5.4 Your contract with the driver
When a booking is confirmed, a separate contract is formed directly between you and the driver. You are solely responsible to the driver for the work.
6.Fees and subscriptions
The fees that apply to your account (subscription, commission rate and cap) are agreed when you sign up and shown at /portal/fees. We may change them on at least 30 days' notice. Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance and non-refundable for the current month.
7.Commission (Success Fees)
You pay a Success Fee on bookings at the rate and cap shown at /portal/fees.
7.1 One fee per driver, per garage
As standard, we charge a Success Fee only once per driver, per Garage. Repeat bookings from the same driver are commission-free.
7.2 When the fee is payable
A Success Fee becomes payable when a driver books your Garage and you are engaged to carry out the Job, including where the driver accepts your quote.
8.Payment, collection and remittance
You must keep a valid Direct Debit and/or card payment method on file. For Jobs paid through the Platform you appoint RepairMyCar as your limited collection agent. We remit the Job price to you less the Success Fee on our standard payout cycle.
Where a Job is not paid through the Platform we invoice the Success Fee separately. Each invoice must be paid within 7 days. We may charge a late administration fee of £3.99 and interest at 4% over Bank of England base on overdue amounts, and suspend access until paid.
9.Your obligations
- Hold and maintain all qualifications, licences and insurance (including public liability cover).
- Provide accurate descriptions, prices and quotes.
- Only offer and accept work you are competent and equipped to carry out.
- Confirm and honour bookings, giving the driver at least 24 hours' notice where possible if you cannot.
- Fit new and good-quality parts unless otherwise agreed.
- Obtain the driver's authorisation, and agree the price, before any additional work.
- Provide the driver with an itemised invoice.
- Handle complaints promptly and fairly.
10.No circumvention of the Platform
You must not negotiate or carry out Platform-introduced Jobs outside the Platform to avoid Success Fees. Any breach is a material breach: we may suspend or terminate your account and recover the Success Fees that would have been payable, together with our reasonable costs.
11.Warranties and guarantees
You - not RepairMyCar - are responsible for any guarantee you offer on parts or workmanship. RepairMyCar does not provide, underwrite or guarantee any warranty.
12.Reviews and feedback
Drivers may leave reviews about you and we may publish a rating. If you believe a review is fake or in breach of our standards, tell us and we will look into it.
13.Our liability to you
Subject to the carve-outs required by law, our total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of £250 and the total subscription and Success Fees you paid to us in that period. We are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or any indirect loss.
14.Your indemnity to us
You will indemnify us against liabilities, costs and losses arising from your work or services, your breach of these terms, or your negligence or misconduct.
15.Data protection
When we share driver personal data with you, you and we each act as an independent controller. You may use the data only for the agreed purposes (quoting, communicating about and carrying out the Job) and must comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
16.Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, fail to maintain insurance, or fail to pay amounts due. You may cancel at any time; if you cancel part-way through a paid month you are not entitled to a refund of fees already paid.
17.Governing law and jurisdiction
These Garage Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
